Luxación tibioperonea proximal. Tratamiento con fijación interna dinámica. Reporte de un caso y revisión bibliográfica
Keywords:
Proximal Tibiofibular Joint, Dynamic Internal FixationAbstract
We present the clinical case of a forty-one-year-old patient who was admitted with acute knee pain after a sports injury (playing football). A diagnosis of dislocation of the proximal tibiofibular joint was made. Surgical treatment was performed by means of dynamic fixation of the superior tibiofibular joint with good evolution and return to sports activity. We carry out a search on the latest publications presented on this pathology and its treatments.
The dislocation of the proximal tibiofibular joint is an infrequent pathology and requires its suspicion to make the initial diagnosis. Dynamic internal fixation is a valid treatment option.
