Ethical issues

The journal maintains high standards of integrity and ethics in publication. It aligns with the
guidelines established by the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) in relation to the
ethical conduct and editorial best practices.

Research on human subjects

Articles involving research conducted on human subjects must include a statement in the Materials and Methods section indicating approval by the Institutional Ethics Committee or competent authority and must state that informed consent, as well as any other necessary consent, was obtained from each patient. For research reporting with human subjects, it must be ensured that: (a) the necessary and appropriate consent has been obtained from each patient and (b) the study protocol was conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the Declaration of Helsinki. Individual patients should be referred by number and not by their initials.

Animal Testing

How to make and present corrections after the evaluation

General considerations to take into account when entering a manuscript into the system

Authors interested in publishing in our journal should follow the guidelines for the
following instructions. All manuscripts must be submitted electronically to
through the journal's website where they must register as authors before taking the
shipment. The system will guide them step by step to upload their article and allow them to track the progress
thereof. All work-related communications will be sent in writing to
through the system.

Although you can log back into the system to fill in the missing ones, we recommend that you have all the data ready to fill in the requested fields (see submission checklist).

Files to be submitted

1. Request Letter

You should address a letter to the Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Dr. Luciano Rossi, requesting the evaluation of the manuscript that includes the following:
● Section to which the work is submitted (see characteristics of the sections)
● List of authors:
The Journal adheres to the definition of authorship of the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal)
Editors).
The authors' name must be complete (format: first name, initial
of the middle name and surname/s), please do not enter the first names only in
B. Add your grade in the appropriate field (for example: Dr. or
Bachelor's degree in rehabilitation, etc.).

If a research group has been designated as the author of an article, one or more members of the group who fully meet the above criteria for authorship should be listed as authors of the article, followed by "on behalf of [name of group]". The other members of the group should be listed in a thank you section at the end of the article. On the other hand, only the name of the group can also be included in the list of authors, followed by an asterisk (*) that corresponds to a list that specifies the authors who fully meet the above criteria for authorship, and that also mentions other members of the group

● Include the ORCID URL of each of the authors. If any author does not have ORCID, they must apply for it at the following link. Please fill in the details having in mind that it is a universal identification.

● Include the institutional email of all authors.

● Indicate the main author, who will be the reference for the Editorial Coordination in any of the stages of the publication process.

● Filiation
Inform the affiliation of each author. This corresponds to the workplace in which
the manuscript, province (or corresponding data) and country were made.
We recommend checking the correct name of the filiation and not using
Abbreviations. If you include initials, you must place the name displayed.

● Contributions from authors
You must declare the role of each author according to the CrEdit taxonomy.
The form of presentation is: indicate the role and initials of the authors
involved (e.g.: Conceptualization: JAM, ER, LAR. Formal Analysis, Research:
ER, LAR.)

● Financing
You must declare the financial support of the work to be published. If not, we recommend the following sentence: "the authors declare that there was no funding for the conduct of this study"

● Acknowledgements
See "non-author contributors" (ICMJE) to define the section.

2. Manuscript

The original manuscript must be typed and submitted in format.
OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or Word Perfect in a single column, double-spaced, under
Arial font size number 12, with margins of 3 cm. Pages and lines should
be numbered.

Please do not include any identification (such as names of authors or
institution where the study was conducted, etc.). They should be addressed in the text, such as:
"the author surgeon" or "our institution", etc., since, otherwise, the review is prevented
in pairs with the double-blind modality.

Keywords

Submit 4-6 keywords that correctly describe the content of the work,
in Spanish and English. We recommend using MeSH terminology for better
recovery of search engines.

2.2 Second page

Article text

It will be divided into four sections: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion. In order to maintain the coherence of the message, each section must be thought of in relation to the question or hypothesis of the work.

In this way, the Introduction formulates the question, in Materials and methods the activities carried out to answer the question are described, in Results the results obtained are reported, and in Discussion the differences and/or similarities with other authors are raised, the considerations of the authors and, finally, the question asked is answered.

It is suggested to use the checklist corresponding to the type of work to be presented.
This must also be attached to the work in a separate file:

● Case report: https://www.care-statement.org/ (CARE).
● Observational studies (case/cohort series):
https://www.strobe-statement.org/index.php?id=strobe-home (STROBE).
● Randomized prospective studies: http://www.consort-statement.org/ (CONSORT).
● Systematic reviews and meta-analyses: http://www.prisma-statement.org/ (PRISMA)

For scientific clinical studies, the type of study and the level of evidence must be included.

Clinical cases that are considered very interesting may be sent accompanied by the clinical history of the case, diagnosis and treatment carried out. They will be accompanied by the corresponding photos and drawings. In the case of new surgical techniques, they must be presented in the sequence of scientific work, with the validity of statistics being less.

Characteristics of the journal's sections

2.3 Figures / Tables / Videos / Headings / Permissions

Figures/Digital Illustrations/Images Must be submitted as a separate file in TIFF or JPEG format. They will be accepted with the highest resolution and sharpness possible, although the weight should not be greater than 4 MB (we suggest a weight of 2 MB for a higher browsing speed and loaded figure). The file name should include the location number in the text, in order of appearance (e.g., Figure 1, etc.). X-rays, MRI and/or CT scans: black and white. Photographs of arthroscopic procedures or photographs of patients: these are accepted in color. Remember that your anonymity must be preserved. Important: Send the image file without retouching, as it comes out of the digital camera. If the image is a capture of a video, do it before editing and printing the video to preserve quality. Save it in JPG format without retouching.

Use the professional production arrows or other markers placed directly on the figure to identify important features. Cut out the figures as needed without losing the meaning or information to be displayed. Indicate the top of the photograph in case the orientation is not obvious. The names of the authors or institutions should not appear anywhere in the figures. The figure title and legend material should not be included in the figure.

Tables or tables

They must be submitted as a separate file in an editable format (word or excel). The file name should include the location number in the text and in order of appearance (e.g., Table 1). The title must not be part of the table. Very small tables should be avoided, and should be referenced in the text. The information in the tables should not be repeated in the text. Each table will be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals and all abbreviations must be defined.

Videos

Adding videos to articles will be optional. Only one video per article will be accepted, the maximum weight will be 100 MB and should not be longer than four minutes. The video must be cited within the text. It must contain subtitles that describe the technique used and can be narrated, if the author considers it necessary. The RELART Journal is not in charge of editing the video, but it may request corrections in the subtitles, in the narration and the request for the inclusion of the bibliographic citation when the work is accepted and in the editing stage.

Headings of figures and titles of tables

The captions or captions of the figures must be ordered numerically and must be presented on a separate sheet from the main article, in Word format, or at the end of the text. Figures and tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals and in the order mentioned in the text.

● For figures, a sufficient explanation must be provided so that the image is understandable without having to refer to the text. All symbols and all abbreviations that have not been detailed in the text must be defined.
● Tables should have short titles that clearly describe them.

Permissions for the use of figures, illustrations and tables

For direct quotes, tables, or illustrations taken from copyrighted material you must present permission for use from the original copyright owner (this can be an individual or a publisher). You must include in the epigraph or at the bottom of a table the origin of the image and the complete information of the source.

Photographs of identifiable individuals must be accompanied by a signed statement indicating the informed consent of the patient or guardian.

Abbreviations, units of measurement, numerical notation, and names of drugs and implants

Abbreviations

The complete word is written and then the abbreviation is written in parentheses, from now on it is used in the text.

Units of measurement

The International System (IS) of Units is used.

Numerical notation

Numerical figures should preferably be written in letters, except for percentages, calendar years, grades, results data or numbers expressed in decimals.

Names of Drugs and Implants

Generic names are used. The name of the manufacturer may be mentioned in parentheses, along with the city and country. Add the trademark sign (®) as appropriate (on the keyboard: Alt key + 0174).

2.4 Bibliography

Bibliographic References will be sent listed in order of appearance in the
scientific work and not by alphabet. The number of the appointment must be included in the text
corresponding as a superscript in Arabic numerals (e.g.: 1,3,5 or 2-6,10). The following will be included:
all authors when there are 6 or less, from 7 authors, all 6 are mentioned
first and et al. Abbreviations for journal titles are used according to the
Index Medicus. The start and end page numbers of each appointment should be included,
as well as the URL of the DOI (Digital Object Identifier), if applicable. If a source of
Authors' reference has not yet been published, but has been accepted for publication.
publication, the source must be included in the reference list and the letter of
acceptance together with the manuscript.

Authors are encouraged to cite all works previously published in Relart that
reference the research.
Only include references that are important and that were read by the author. By
Please do not include unpublished references. Do not cite conference abstracts,
personal communications or unpublished material (including oral presentations, and manuscripts not yet accepted for publication). If the information is
fundamental to the message of the manuscript, this material can be identified in
the text in parentheses.

The reference list should be double-spaced and should appear after the
text and before figures and tables.

References will be written punctually according to the following examples, following
Vancouver standards:
